LMS has over 30,000 installations!

The Lyrion community have been collecting information about LMS installations and published them here:

There are at least 30,000 installations globally, primarily in Europe (Germany #1) and USA. We are using the 2nd most popular OS, Debian X86-64 (15%) and the 7th, Debian Aarch64 (4%). Squeezelite comes in 3rd in players.

Looking to publicise SnakeOil on the Lyrion forum, hoping to convince a few of those Debian 64 bit users to give us a go. The motivation to change should be a desire for better SQ, but I am open to suggestions on other ways to attract people.

Note: there are many test installs in the statistics, many on Daphile which has skewed the data. Hence, I adjusted the overall numbers by a quarter but they are still big …

During the ISO days I’ve actually re-branded the OS from Ubuntu into Snakeoil OS.

It is kept as Ubuntu now. That is unlikely to change because technically we can run Snakeoil OS in other distributions now.

Too bad :desperate2:. Otherwise Snakeoil OS will appear as one of the entry in the list.
