Some quick updates
Have updated Discourse HOWTO and 🔧 Updating SnakeOil OS. Go have a quick read and learn how to better navigate this new Discourse board.
There are some other things like User preferences, Gamification, badge earning which I will touch on at a later stage (Perhaps a HOWTO Part 2). Stay tuned.
In time I will also update the other sections and document down the new features in 1.4.4.
There’s a lot of posts in the forums from Discobot. These are posts automatically created. I have created a n8n workflow for this:
It is kind of messy because gitlab API kind of sucks. I have no idea why/how GitLab can be so unproductive in many ways, despite it being a very technical product.
I have hidden the Development category from showing up in your home page because given the current state of affairs it will be generating a lot noise in an otherwise quiet forum.
In time I will make the Docs show up again so you guys will be quickly made aware of what’s changed.
Anyway, it’s a certainty that the switch is official. There is no going back now. So if you are aware of any Snakeoil folks who havn’t signed up yet, please pester them to do so.
I don’t want to migrate the userbase over as I am interested to get a better idea of the user base.
